Tiger Endlers (Poecilia wingei)
Tiger Endlers are a stunning and rare variety of Endler’s livebearers—perfect for nano or planted aquariums thanks to their small size and peaceful nature. These little fish show off a vibrant mix of yellow, black, red, and blue, making them one of the most eye-catching Endler types available. Despite their size, they’re surprisingly hardy and easy to care for.

Tiger Endlers tend to swim near the top of the tank but will explore all levels. Because they can jump, it’s best to keep them in a tank with a lid or lower the water level. They’re completely plant-safe and get along well with other peaceful fish, although tankmates that might nip at their fins should be avoided. Adult dwarf shrimp are generally fine with them, but the Endlers may snack on shrimp fry. Larger peaceful inverts also make good companions. For the best color and activity, keep them in groups.

These fish aren’t fussy eaters and will happily accept a variety of foods. A balanced diet of high-quality flakes or pellets along with frozen or freeze-dried meaty foods (and a bit of spirulina or veggie matter) will keep them healthy and looking their best.
