These lively fish are known to jump, so a secure lid or hood is recommended. Guppies are completely plant-safe and make excellent community fish when kept with other peaceful species. Avoid housing them with fin-nipping fish, as their flowing tails can become targets. Adult shrimp are generally safe tank mates, although guppies may occasionally prey on baby shrimp.

Guppies are social fish and do best when kept in small groups. Their hardy nature and adaptability make them an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
