Rusty Cichlids are one of the most peaceful Mbuna species, making them ideal for both beginner and experienced breeders. With their stunning rusty-orange to lavender colouration and active personalities, they’re not only productive breeders — they’re also a beautiful feature in any Malawi setup.

This 2 male / 4 female ratio reduces stress on females, improves breeding success, and creates a stable social structure within the tank. Best kept in a rocky, well-filtered aquarium with stable hard, alkaline water conditions and plenty of hiding spots for females.
