Mini Coconut Pods – Natural Aquarium Botanicals

As the pods slowly break down, they release natural tannins that may give the water a warm amber tint. Their compact shape provides cover, grazing surfaces and enrichment for shrimp, fry and small fish.

Preparation and Use

Rinse thoroughly before use. Boil for approximately 10–15 minutes, then allow the pods to cool before adding them to the aquarium. Alternatively, soak them until fully waterlogged. They may float initially but should sink once saturated.

Add botanicals gradually and monitor your water parameters, particularly in tanks with low carbonate hardness. The pods can be removed once they begin to break down or left to decompose naturally as part of the aquarium ecosystem.
