Koi Guppies Pairs
Guppies typically occupy the top level of the water column, although they can also be seen swimming and feeding in the middle and lower levels of the aquarium. They are known jumpers, so a secure lid, hood, or canopy is essential — alternatively, keep the water level slightly lowered to prevent escapes.
Guppies are plant-safe and will not damage live plants. They are peaceful and do well with other non-aggressive fish, provided tankmates are not prone to fin-nipping, as their flowing tails can make them a target. Adult dwarf shrimp are generally safe, although guppies may eat shrimp fry. Larger peaceful invertebrates also make suitable companions.
For best results, guppies should be kept in small groups.
Feeding
Although not fussy eaters, Assorted Guppies thrive and display their best colours when fed a varied diet. Offer high-quality flakes or pellets as a staple, supplemented with frozen or freeze-dried foods such as tubifex and bloodworms.
