Despite their bold appearance, Fire Gold Agassizii are relatively peaceful and do well in planted community tanks when housed with calm tank mates. They appreciate a natural setup with sand or fine gravel, driftwood, leaf litter, and shaded areas, allowing them to exhibit natural behaviours.
