Electric White Cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus)

The Electric White Cichlid is a striking white colour variation of the popular Electric Yellow Cichlid. Native to Lake Malawi, this hardy and relatively peaceful mbuna is an excellent choice for both newer and experienced African cichlid keepers.

Electric Whites are active fish that thrive in a well-maintained Malawi cichlid aquarium with stable water conditions. Provide plenty of rockwork, caves and hiding places to create territories and help reduce aggression.

They can grow to approximately 10–12 cm and are best kept with similarly sized Lake Malawi cichlids. Keeping multiple females for each male can also help spread breeding-related aggression.

Feed a varied diet of high-quality cichlid pellets, spirulina-based flakes and occasional frozen foods. Avoid excessive amounts of high-protein or meaty foods.
