The Dalmatian Balloon Molly (Poecilia sp.) is a fun and eye-catching freshwater fish combining the distinctive rounded body of a Balloon Molly with striking black-and-white Dalmatian-style markings.

Each fish has its own unique pattern, with some displaying mostly white colouration with scattered black spots, while others can develop heavier black markings. This variation means no two Dalmatian Balloon Mollies look exactly the same!

Dalmatian Balloon Mollies are active, social fish that make a great addition to peaceful community aquariums. They enjoy plenty of swimming space along with planted areas for shelter and exploration.

They can be kept alongside other peaceful community species such as Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, Corydoras, peaceful Gouramis, and other similarly sized fish.

Feeding

Dalmatian Balloon Mollies are omnivorous and benefit from a varied diet. A quality tropical flake or pellet should form the staple of their diet, supplemented with vegetable-based foods and occasional frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia.
