Chailosi Elongatus (Pseudotropheus sp. “Elongatus Chailosiâ€)
Add a splash of vibrant blue and bold personality to your Malawi setup with the Chailosi Elongatus. Known for their striking electric blue bodies contrasted by jet-black barring, these mbuna are a true standout in any cichlid tank.
Native to Lake Malawi, the Chailosi Elongatus is a hardy, active, and social species that thrives in a rocky aquascape with plenty of caves and hiding spots. Males display the most intense coloration, especially when establishing territory or during breeding.
These fish do best in a well-structured mbuna community with other semi-aggressive species of similar size and temperament. A diet rich in vegetable-based flakes, spirulina, and quality cichlid pellets will keep them looking their best.
