Guppies are a colourful, hardy, and easy-to-keep fish, making them one of the best choices for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

They typically inhabit the top level of the aquarium, but will also swim and feed throughout all levels. Guppies are active and curious, and can occasionally jump, so a lid or lowered water level is recommended.

Guppies are peaceful and social, best kept in small groups. They are excellent community fish and can be kept with other peaceful species.
