Blue Polar Parrots are a hybrid cichlid, combining the distinctive parrot-style body shape with the bold personality and markings associated with Convict Cichlids.

Provide plenty of caves, rocks, driftwood and hiding places to help establish territories. They can become particularly territorial when breeding, so choose tank mates carefully and provide plenty of space.

Feed a quality cichlid pellet as their staple food, supplemented with frozen or live foods and some vegetable-based foods.

Top Fin Tip: If you end up with a breeding pair, be prepared! Blue Polar Parrots can be enthusiastic parents and will strongly defend their spawning area.
