Blue Phantom Pleco

The L128 Blue Phantom Pleco (Hemiancistrus sp. L128) is a highly desirable aquarium species known for its stunning blue coloration and distinctive white spots. Native to the Rio Orinoco in Colombia and Venezuela, this species thrives in fast-moving, oxygen-rich waters, making it well-suited to aquariums with good water flow, though it can adapt to a variety of setups. The Blue Phantom Pleco is a peaceful fish that can coexist with a wide range of tankmates, including both community fish and semi-aggressive cichlids.

This pleco can be a bit shy initially, but once it becomes accustomed to its environment, it will often be seen during the day. While it is primarily an algae eater, the Blue Phantom Pleco benefits from a varied diet, including frozen foods like bloodworms and mysis shrimp alongside algae wafers or pellets.
