The Assorted Sailfin Molly (Poecilia sp.) is a colourful, active freshwater fish best known for its impressive dorsal fin and lively personality. Males in particular can develop a large, sail-like dorsal fin that creates an impressive display when fully extended.

Available in a variety of colours and patterns, Assorted Sailfin Mollies can include black, gold, silver, dalmatian, marble, and other variations. As these are sold as assorted, each fish can have its own unique appearance.

Sailfin Mollies are generally peaceful and make an excellent addition to larger community aquariums. They are active swimmers and appreciate plenty of open swimming space along with planted areas for cover. Suitable tankmates include other Mollies, Platies, Swordtails, peaceful Gouramis, Rainbowfish, Corydoras, and other similarly sized community species.

Feeding

Sailfin Mollies are omnivorous and benefit from a varied diet. Feed a quality tropical flake or pellet as their staple, supplemented with vegetable-based foods and occasional frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia.
