The Assorted Balloon Molly (Poecilia sp.) is a colourful and lively freshwater fish known for its distinctive rounded body shape and friendly, active personality. Available in a variety of colours and patterns, these eye-catching livebearers make a great addition to peaceful community aquariums.

Balloon Mollies are selectively bred for their shorter, rounded body shape and can come in a wide range of colours including black, white, gold, orange, dalmatian, and mixed patterns. As these are sold as assorted, each fish will have its own unique appearance.

They are social, active fish that enjoy exploring all levels of the aquarium. They are generally peaceful and can be kept alongside other community species such as Platies, Swordtails, Corydoras, peaceful Gouramis, and other similarly sized fish.

Feeding

Balloon Mollies are omnivorous and should be offered a varied diet. A quality tropical flake or pellet makes a great staple, supplemented with vegetable-based foods and occasional frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia.
