Albino Red Cheek Tropheops are a rare and eye-catching African cichlid, prized for their bright albino coloration combined with striking orange-red cheek highlights. Their bold appearance and active personality make them a standout addition to any Lake Malawi aquarium.
Tropheops sp. are an mbuna cichlid species originating from Lake Malawi and are best suited to rocky aquarium setups with plenty of caves and territories. Like most mbuna, they are highly active and can show territorial behaviour, especially as they mature, so proper stocking and aquascaping are important.
These fish thrive in well-filtered aquariums with stable water conditions and are best kept alongside other African cichlids with similar temperament and dietary needs.
