Albino Bronze Corydoras (Corydoras aeneus)

The Albino Bronze Corydoras is one of the most popular and beloved freshwater fish in the aquarium hobby. This beautiful albino colour variant of the Bronze Corydoras combines a peaceful nature, active personality, and hardy disposition, making it an excellent choice for beginner and experienced aquarists alike.

Perfect for community, planted, and nano aquariums, Albino Bronze Corydoras are highly social fish that should always be kept in groups of six or more. Watching a school forage together across the aquarium floor is one of the highlights of keeping these charming catfish.

A soft sand substrate is highly recommended, as it allows them to sift naturally for food without damaging their delicate barbels. Smooth gravel can also be used, but coarse or sharp substrates should be avoided. They appreciate a well-planted aquarium with driftwood, rocks, and plenty of shaded areas to explore.

Albino Bronze Corydoras are extremely peaceful and make excellent tank mates for tetras, rasboras, livebearers, dwarf cichlids, angelfish, and other community fish. While they are generally safe with adult shrimp, they may occasionally eat very small shrimp fry.

Feeding

Albino Bronze Corydoras are omnivores and thrive on a varied diet. Offer a quality sinking pellet or wafer as their staple food, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, blackworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp to promote excellent health, growth, and colour.
